Brand New Divers

Yes. Basic swimming skills are required for scuba certification. Before becoming certified, you'll complete a continuous swim and a 10 minute float or tread water. You don't need to be a strong swimmer, but you should feel comfortable and confident in the water.

Join the club! Many divers, including Gabby, were nervous to learn how to dive. We’ll take it step by step. You are in careful hands with a good community watching out for your safety.

None. All equipment is provided as a part of your course.

We only work with reputable dive shops who enlist the best quality instructors who will teach you.

Gabby and her team will send thorough emails outlining everything you need to know for the trip. They are available for questions there. Further, a Whatsapp group will be created for all of the divers to connect and meet each other prior to arrival.

Beginners trips are typically 5 days - arrivals, 3 days of certification course, departure day. Some trips also include an additional cultural or activity day depending on the location.

Costs typically include: dive certification, accommodations, transportation, airport transfers, equipment rentals, select meals, select group activities, tips for guides. Each trip varies by location, please refer to the information packet for pricing and cost breakdown.

Cost typically exclude: plane tickets, travel insurance, dive insurance, select meals, solo activities.

Gabby will send out a detailed packing list along with a detailed itinerary that’s tailored to each dive location.

Typically guests can join you for an additional guest fee. Fees vary by location so please speak with Gabby if you would like to bring a non-diver to enjoy the trip with.

Absolutely! If you want to stay and explore our destination past the group trip dates you are welcome to extend your room or transfer to another accommodation. You are also welcome to arrive earlier than the group.

Yes, typically each diver has their own hotel room to enjoy during the trip unless otherwise noted.

The first initial deposit is non-refundable. Depending on the timing of the cancellation, destination, whether we are able to replace your spot, and whether payments have already been made to hotels, dive operators, or other vendors, partial or full refunds are often still possible. Please notify Gabby as soon as possible if you need to cancel so that we can review all available options together. We will always work in good faith and to the best of our ability to fairly recover as much of your payment as possible.

I have various trips for all experience levels - from brand new divers with 4 dives to more advanced divers looking for a challenge. Please speak with Gabby about which experience level you are seeking.

Absolutely! A lot of people come solo and end up making lasting friendships. Or if you want some introvert time, it’s a safe space to unplug and do your own thing.

Land based trips are typically 6 days - arrivals, 3 days of diving, an additional activity day, departures. Liveaboards are typically 7-10 days to more remote locations. Each trip length varies by location.

Typically Nitrox is available in most dive shops for an additional fee as long as you are certified to use it.

You are always welcome to bring your own gear, but for most trips gear is included unless noted otherwise.

For land based trips DAN insurance is highly recommended but not required. For liveaboards DAN insurance is mandatory.

Please speak with Gabby if you’d like to complete one of the following during your trip: Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Nitrox Certification, Refresher Course or any of the specialty certifications.
